Incidents and announcements

Guide 3 min read

This page explains how you tell visitors about a disruption. It is for the WHMCS administrator. An incident is a timeline. An announcement is a bar at the top of a status page and does not change monitor state.

  • Edit an incident to update its state, message, or affected services
  • Add a timeline update post (see below)
  • Mark an incident as resolved

Click Add Update on any open incident to post a new message to its timeline. Each update requires:

Timeline updates appear in reverse chronological order on the status page, letting visitors follow the incident as it progresses.
