Error Log

Guide 2 min read

This page turns on the local text log and shows the tail. It is written for support collecting a PHP warning from Proxmox Suite.

Menu: Addons → Proxmox Suite → Error Log

The family tab opens this page. There is no sidebar. No screenshot is shipped for this screen.

Purpose

Intro: Captures warnings and errors from Proxmox Suite into a local text log for support and troubleshooting.

Controls

Field Type What it does
Enable error logging Switch Default on when the setting is missing. Off only when error_log_enabled is 0. When on, PHP warnings and application failures from this module are appended under storage/logs.
Save Button Persists the switch. Flash: Settings saved.
Active log file Display modules/addons/SrvProxmoxSuite/storage/logs/srvprox.log%60%2C relative to the WHMCS document root. Not editable. Rotated names are srvprox-2.log, srvprox-3.log`, and so on.
Download Link One link per file, with size. Only srvprox.log and srvprox-N.log are served. Anything else is HTTP 404 Log file not found.
Clear logs Button Shown when at least one file exists. Confirms Delete all error log files? Flash: Error logs cleared.
Latest entries Preformatted text Last 64 KiB of srvprox.log. Empty: No log entries yet.

The active file rotates when it exceeds 5 MiB. Up to 5 older files are kept.

Note

This log is for the module, not for Proxmox task history and not for WHMCS Activity Log. A failed provision job is on Task History. A PHP warning while rendering the admin UI is here.

Example

After a blank widget or a console AJAX error, leave Enable error logging on, reproduce the click, and read Latest entries. Download srvprox.log if support asks for the file. Clear logs only after you have a copy.
